Stanley-Boyd Area School District Community Conversation
Where we ALL come together to prepare our students for the future!
The Stanley-Boyd Area School District is reaching out to all stakeholders to be part of a community conversation focusing on how to best prepare our students for the future. In November, the board of education started the process by selecting a design team that is currently preparing for the event. We are hoping for a strong showing by all members of our community so all voices can be represented.
The conversation will be held on March 21 (5-9 PM), March 22 (5-9 PM), and March 23 (8-12:15 PM).
The outcomes established for the conversation are:
- Identify issues and trends that impact our District
- Expand and strengthen community partnerships
- Identify attributes and skills every graduate should have to meet their full potential
- Identify key indicators to ensure future success of the District
- Identify ways to foster communication with the larger community
- Identify what our community wants from the School District
- Celebrate heritage, traditions, and legacy
- Provide an opportunity for citizens to participate in a process of thinking and planning for the future.
During the event we will start by looking at our past and present history in education so that we can establish common ground themes and identify a focus for the future of our students.
Anyone from the community who is interested in being part of the conversation is welcome. The school board hopes that parents, students, teachers, business leaders, government officials and other stakeholders will attend. People who are interested in participating are asked to commit to all three sessions. Meals will be provided and we will provide onsite childcare during the event.
All participants are asked to RSVP by emailing conversation@s-bschools.org or calling the district office (715) 644-5534 x292.
We look forward to seeing you there!
