2016-2017 SCHOLARSHIP DESCRIPTIONS
In an attempt to make scholarships available to all students 24/7, we have posted applications online. Use the links within the description to access the application form. Some may be fillable online; others may be able to be copied to a Word file to complete and then be printed. Mrs. Hove also has a hard copy of the applications.
All attempts have been made to insure completeness and accuracy. Changes may be made beyond Stanley-Boyd High School's control.

AB Nicholas Scholarship Foundation
The Foundation will offer 60 scholarships-$10,000 for a student in a four-year program, and $5,000 for a student in a two-year program. Scholarships are renewable for the length of the program. Applicants must have participated in boys or girls basketball program during senior year, as a player or manager. Further information and an application is available at www.AbNicholasScholars.org. Deadline is April 30, 2017.
Academic Excellence Scholarship (awarded by Stanley-Boyd High School)
State of WI awards the valedictorian $2,250/year, to be applied towards tuition. The student must be enrolled full-time at a participating WI University, WI Technical College, or Independent Institution in the state. The class rank is determined at the end of the second term of the senior year. No application required.
Accelerated Genetics' Youth Recognition
Accelerated Genetics awards two (2) $1,000 scholarships to high school seniors planning to major in agriculture at a short course, vocational tech. college or 4-year university degree program. Seniors who have participated in ag. education, 4-H or any ag. organization are eligible to apply. Applications are available to fill out or download online in November of each year at www.accelgen.com Deadline was Feb. 15, 2017.
AGStar Financial Services
Agstar will award twenty-five (25) $1,000 to high school seniors who plan to continue their education in an ag related field of study and will award five (5) $1,000 scholarships to those with an ag or rural background who plan to continue their education in any field of study. Stanley-Boyd students must reside in the Agstar service area and possess a GPA of 3.0 or higher. The scholarships will be awarded based on academic achievement, leadership, personal attributes and vocational promise. The application is available at www.agstar.com. Alumni Basketball Tournament
At least one $200 scholarship will be awarded. Seniors who have participated in sports for four (4) years during high school, maintained a 3.0 G.P.A. and plan to attend a college or technical school are eligible to apply. Deadline is April 28, 2017. You may download an application here.
American Legion& American Legion Dept. of WI
Numerous scholarships are awarded: American Legion Legacy Scholarship, American Legion Baseball Scholarship, Eagle Scout of the Year, The Eight and Forty Lung and Respiratory Nursing Scholarship, National High School Oratorical Scholarship, Samsung American Legion Scholarship. The applications and eligibilty requirements may be obtained at www.legion.org/scholarships. Deadlines vary. The American Legion Dept. of WI also awards Schneider-Emanuel American Legion Scholarship, Americanism & Government Test Programs, Keith Kreul Scholarship, National Law Enforcement Officer of the Year and the Oustanding Fire Fighter Award Program. American Legion Auxiliary
The National scholarships include: Children of Warriors National President's Scholarship(award three in each Division)-one (1) $2,500, one (1) $2,000 and one (1) $1,000; Non- Traditional Student(award one in each Division)-$1,000 award; Spirit of Youth Scholarship(award one in each Division)-$1,000/yr. for 4 yrs. Deadline for the National scholarships is March 1. The WI American Legion Auxiliary Education Scholarships include: H.S. & Angeline Lewis Scholarships, Department President's Scholarships, Merit and Memorial Scholarships, Child Welfare Scholarships, Past Presidents Parley-Registered Nurse Scholarship, Past Presidents Parley-Health Career Scholarships, and Della Van Deuren Memorial Scholarship. Applicants must be a relative of a veteran. One common application is need for all WI awards. Applications must be postmarked by March 15.

American Red Cross Blood Services
The Young Minds Change Lives Scholarship Program is available for high schools who host an American Red Cross blood drive during the school year. The scholarship amount is based on the number of units collected. All seniors may apply, whether or not they have donated or been involved in the blood drive. Applications are to be turned in to Mrs. Hove in May. You may view the application here.
AXA Achievement Scholarship
Fifty-two (52) students will be selected to receive $10,000 Scholarships. Applicants are to describe an outstanding achievement they have accomplished in a non-academic activity or project. Deadline was December 15, 2016. You may download an application at www.axa-achievement.com
Better Business Bureau's Student of Integrity Scholarship
The BBB will offer three $2,500 scholarships to WI high school students who has demonstrated charter, leadership and ethical values. The scholarship is intended to create long-term ties with future WI business leaders who will promote ethics in the marketplace as they pursue their careers. Applications are available at www.wisconsin.bbb.org/scholarship. Click on Programs & Services, scroll down to scholarships. Deadline was March 1.
The $500 Oral Polio Scholarship will be awarded to a SBHS graduate attending any school and in any area of study. An essay on a given topic must accompany the application form. Deadline is May 8, 2017. You may download an application here.
Boyd Little League
Seniors who participated in the Boyd Little League program are eligible for the two $250 scholarships. A scholarship will be awarded to one male and one female. You may download the application here. The deadline is May 5, 2017.
Boyd Unit 326 American Legion Auxiliary Scholarship Program
Two (2) $200 scholarships will be awarded. Must be a relative of a veteran. An essay must accompany the application. Deadline is May 5, 2017. You dowload an application here.
Boy Scouts of America
Eric Emmans Memorial Scholarship, worth $2,500, is awarded to a graduating senior who has been a registrant in the Boy Scouts for a minimum three-year period during high school and currently resides in the Chippewa Valley Council. Girls who are or have been members of a Venture Crew also qualify. Deadline was April 17, 2017. You may download an application here. National Eagle Scout Association (NESA) Scholarships: Applications for Hall/McElwain Merit Scholarship, NESA STEM Scholarship and the Eagle Scout Academic Scholarships are available at www.nesa.org.. You may apply between Aug. 1, 2016 and Oct. 31, 2016. NESA also awards religious, civic and institution-specific scholarships, all of which have different deadline dates.
The scholarship program will award 50 renewable scholarships up to $25,000/year. High school seniors who plan to major in a field of study that focuses on engineering, technology, design or business, with an interest in the automotive industry may apply. Deadline was Jan. 31, 2017. Applications were available in January 2017 at www.buickachievers.com.
Scholarships from $1,000 to $50,000 will be awarded based GPA, works experience, demonstrates participation in community service & extra-curricular activities. Applicants do not have to be employed at a Burger King to apply. You may apply online between Oct. 15, 2016 and Dec. 15, 2016 at www.bkmclamorefoundation.org.
Carrie Crystal Stuckert Memorial
The family of Carrie Stuckert created the Dream Pool Foundation. The foundation is offering two (2) $2,000 scholarships and two (2) $1,000 scholarships to students majoring in Art or entering Art Therapy Programs. The deadline was April 24, 2017. Chewning Legal, LLC
The Chewning $500 scholarship is for graduating high school seniors in WI who have a parent currently receiving SSD or SSI benefits. The applicants must be attending a 4-year college or university. An essay between 1,000 and 2,000 words explaining the manner in which the applicants's parent's disability has impacted their life, education and goals is required. Deadline is April 30, 2017. Chippewa County Home & Community Education
The association will award two (2) $400 scholarships to high school graduates who are residents of Chippewa County. Students may be enrolled in a college or technical college. Two letters of recommendation must accompany the application. Deadline was April 1, 2016. You download an application here.
Chippewa Valley Electric
$500 scholarships will be awarded to graduates whose parents are members of Chippewa Valley Electric Cooperative. Deadline was April 1, 2017. The application is available at www.cvecoop.com.
Chippewa Valley Equity Shipping Association
The number of scholarships awarded is based on the money available but not exceed $250 for each scholarship. The student's academic record must be average or above. Parents or legal guardians must be members of the Chippewa Valley Equity Shipping Association. Deadline was April 3, 2017. You may download the application here.
Chippewa Valley Technical College Opportunity Scholarship
CVTC plans to award five $500 scholarships to high school graduates within the CVTC district via random electronic selection. Nomineess must have a 2.0 GPA or above, be accepted to CVTC as a full time student in the Fall 2017 Semester and show initiative, desire, and potential to succeed. Chris Boyer Memorial
A $500 scholarship will be awarded to a student enrolled at Chippewa Valley Technical College in the Police Science or Criminal Justice program. You may download an application at www.chrisboyermemorial.com. Deadline was March 15, 2017.
Clark County Community Scholarship Fund
This year the Foundation will award $300 scholarships to eligible Clark County, WI high school graduates. The program is available to Stanley-Boyd High School graduates, whose primary residence is in Clark County, WI. Deadline was March 31, 2017. You download an application at www.clarkccf.org.
Clark County Farm Bureau Henry Stiemann Memorial Scholarship
Clark County Farm Bureau will award a $500 scholarship in memory of Henry Stiemann. Applicants must be a Clark Co. resident, high school senior accepted to a 4 or 2 yr. program or a student currently attending a 4 or 2 yr. campus. Preference given to those whose parents are members of the bureau (not required) and those pursuing an agriculture degree (not required). Deadline was April 1, 2017. Clark County Law Enforcement Association
Will award a $500 scholarship to a student who are interested in pursuing a career in the Criminal Justice System. The applicant must currently be a Clark County resident or graduate from high school as a Clark County resident. Applicants must be full time students enrolled in a Criminal Justice System related program as Law Enforcement, Probation/Parole, Social Work, Child Protective Services, etc. You may view the application here. Clark County Snowmobile Council
A $500 scholarship will be awarded to a graduating high school student whose family is a current member in the Clark Co. Snowmobile Club. The applicant is further required to have passed the WI snowmobile safety course. Deadline was Feb. 17, 2017. You may view the application here.
Clark Electric Cooperative
Awards $500 scholarships to area students whose parents are members of Clark Electric in Greenwood, WI. Minimum 2.5 GPA. One scholarship will be offered to a Stanley-Boyd High School. Students are to return their application to Clark Electric Cooperative on or before March 6, 2017. Applications are available from Mrs. Hove and at www.cecoop.com .
Clifford Nenzel Memorial Scholarship
An amount of $500 will be awarded each of the first two (2) years for a total of $1,000. Applicant must be an active FFA member for a minimum of three (3) years. Be enrolled full time in good standing in a course of study in Agribusiness or Agricultural Education at a technical college or university. Applications must be turned in to Mr. Donnerbauer. Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation
Extremely competitive!!! If you are truly a motivated, dedicated, involved high school senior, the Coca-Cola Foundation is awarding $20,000scholarships to 150 deserving students. Seniors with a minimim 3.0 unweighted GPA may apply. Deadline was Oct. 31, 2016. Apply on line www.COCA-COLASCHOLARS.ORG. (Stanley-Boyd High School's CEEB # 502185)
First Place Prizes of $7,500 to one male and one female athlete and Runner Up Prizes of $2,500 to one male and one female athlete. Applicants must have participated in a WIAA sport, 3.5 GPA & involved in community or high school activities. May apply between Feb. 1 through Feb. 28, 2017. Doris Vennard Nursing Scholarship
The scholarships are awarded to Chippewa County residents pursuing a nursing career. The candidates are selected on the basis of no other scholarships being available to them and no parental financial ability to help them in their tuition and text book expenses. The application will become available at www.co.chippewa.wi.us/ccdph. Click on "Doris Vennard Scholarship" under the Quick Links in the bottom right hand column. Deadline was April 14, 2017.
Eau Claire Energy Cooperative
The cooperative offers renewable $500 scholarships to graduates whose families are active members of the cooperative. The application is available at www.ecec.com. Applications must be turned in to Mrs. Hove by January 11, 2017.
Edward & Hannah M. Rutledge Charities and William J. & Gertrude R. Casper Foundation
Scholarships will be awarded to graduates of a Chippewa County high school or who are residents of Chippewa County. The awards vary from $1,000 to $2,000 per year. Recipients may attend the college of their choice. Deadline is June 1, 2016. Along with the application form, the applicant must submit the following; (1) a transcript, including second term of senior year and (2) a copy of the applicant's Student Aid Report (FAFSA). You may download an application here. The scholarship may be renewed for 10 semesters.
Elks Most Valuable Student Scholarship
Numerous scholarships will be awarded. The awards range from $4,000 to $50,000. Applicants need not be related to an Elk member. Deadline was November 30, 2016. You may dowload an application at www.enf.elks.org/mvs.
Scholarships will be awarded to a student with epilepsy. UCB will offer 30 one-time scholarship of up to $5,000 in 2016. The student must live in or be planning to attend a school in a 22 county coverage area. Application will becme available at www.epilepsywesternwi.org/ . Deadline was March 10, 2017.
Fastlane Detailing will award a $250 scholarship to a S-B High School senior. Applicants must be enrolled in a post-secondary program at a college, technical college or trade school. There are no restrictions regarding the field of study. You may download the application here. Essays and cover sheets must be received by May 5, 2017.
The FFA Alumni One-Year Scholarship is a $100 non-renewable award to a FFA member who is attending any secondary school and pursuing any field of study. The 3-Year Agriculture Scholarship is a $500 award for an FFA member entering an Agriculture program, with $100 awarded the first year and $200 awarded the 2nd & 3rd years. Applicants must be current or former members of the Stanley-Boyd FFA. Candidates may apply to only one of these scholarships. Applications are available from Mr. Donnerbauer. Deadline is in April.
Foremost Farms USA
Awards up to ten (10) $2,000 scholarships to dependants of current members. Applicants are required to pursue an education in an agricultural related field of study. The application is available at: www.foremostfarms.com/. Deadline was February 28, 2017.
Forward Financial Bank
A $500 scholarship will be awarded within each of the eight communities Forward Financial Bank serves. Applicants must be a WI resident, enrolled full-time at an accreditied college or university in WI and have a minumum 3.0 GPA. Preference will be given to applicants pursuing a degree in finance, business or agriculture. Application and accompanying references are due March 17, 2017. The application is available here.
The Foundation of WI Automobile & Truck Dealers
Scholarship amounts vary and may be valued up to full tuition. Scholarships may include tools valued at approximately $3,060 provided by Snap-On Corporation. The technician scholarships are of 3 types; Automotive, Diesel and Auto Collision. Testing and application deadline was Jan. 15, 2017. Francis Melvin Memorial
Melvin Companies offer five (5) $200 scholarships to eleven area high schools, on a rotation basis. Stanley-Boyd High School is offered a scholarship in 2016. This award is intended for the student who has displayed good citizenship and has made a significant contribution to the community. You may download an application here. Applications are to be turned in to Mrs. Hove by April 15, 2016.
Frank and Nellie Pomietlo Scholarship
This $250 renewable scholarship is intended for direct descendants of Frank and Nellie Pomietlo. If there are no descendants in a given year, another graduating senior may receive the scholarship. Processed with the Stanley Boyd Area Education Foundation Universal application.
Frank and Susan Huettner Foundation
The scholarships are available to graduates in a Chippewa Co. school district and residents attending school out of Chippewa Co. taking advantage of open enrollment. The committee makes their selection based on ability to succeed and financial need. Applicants may attend the college, technical, vocational school or university of their choice. Applications are furnished by written request only. Please write to:Application Request, Huettner Foundation, P.O. Box 57, Cadott, WI 54727. Requests must be made before April 21, 2017. Application deadline is May 1, 2017. Recipents will be notified in May. *Note to applicants: You are not required to furnish you SSN on the application. However, if you have been awarded a scholarship, the Foundation will require your number.
The Stanley-Boyd Education Association (Teacher's Union) awards a $100 scholarship on the basis of a written essay. It is available to all SBHS seniors who have been accepted by a technical college or university. Not available in 2017.
The Great Scholarship Program offers awards between $250 -$1,500 in scholarships and cosmetology tools. You may click here for scholarship terms, eligibility and the online application. Deadline was March 31, 2017.
Hammett Bellin & Oswald Law & Justice Scholarship
The law firm of Hammett Bellin & Oswald LLC is offering a $750 Law & Justice Scholarship to a first year freshman who will be attending an accredited College or University this fall. Special consideration will be given to a student who is interested in pursuing a career in law. The application is available online at hbolawfirm.com/law-justice-scholarship. Hansen's IGA is offering a scholarship to students attending a college or university in the fall of 2017. The deadline was April 1, 2017. You may download the application here.
Harold Samplawski Memorial
The Harold Samplayski Memorial offers a $500 scholarship to a Stanley-Boyd High School graduating senior who demonstrated character, work ethic, and integrity. A recipient will be selected by a high school selection committee at the end of the second trimester. You may view the Harold Samplawski Memorial Scholarship here.
Healthcare Leaders Scholarship
The $1,000 Healthcare Leaders Scholarship is offered to students entering or currently pursuing an education program related to nursing or medicine. Students must be at least 17 years of age and have a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Must be accepted to or currently attending a nursing or medical related program at an accredited institution. Hearing and Visually Handicapped Student Grant
The grant program was established to provide funding for undergraduate WI residents, enrolled at an in-state or eligible out-of-state public or independent institution who show financial need and have a severe or profound hearing or visual impairment. Students are eligible to receive from $250 to $1,800 per year for up to ten semesters. Students must be enrolled at least half-time. Heartland Cooperative Services
Awards ten (10) $1,000 scholarships to students who are furthering their education in an agricultural related field at a four-year college or technical college. Parents must be patrons of the cooperative. Deadline was March 15, 2017. The application is available at http://www.heartlandcooperativeservices.com/ .
Horatio Alger Career & Technical Scholarship Program
The Association will award 510 scholarships with a maximum award amount of $2,500. The program provides financial assistance to students who have financial need and have exhibited integrity and perserverance in overcoming personal adversity. Scholarship criteria is to have a commitment to pursue and complete a career or technical certificate/degree. Students may apply online at application.horatioalger.org. Deadline is June 15, 2017.
Horatio Alger Scholarship Program
It is the only major scholarship effort that specifically assists high school students who have faced and overcome great obstacles in their young lives. The Horatio Alger progam seeks students who have a commitment to use their college degrees in service to others. Applicants must attend an accredited institution, a critical financial need, involvement in co-curricular and community activities, minimum grade point average of 2.0. Applicants must provide a letter of support and a copy of the front page of their parent/guardian's tax form. Deadline was October 25, 2016. Information is available at scholars.horatioalger.org.
Indian Student Assistance Grant
Awards are made to WI residents who are at least 25% Native American and are undergraduate or graduate students enrolled in degree or certificate programs at University of WI, WI Technical College, Independent College and Universities or Proprietary Institutions throughout WI. Awards are based on financial need with a limit of ten semesters. Student may be enrolled part-time (including less than half-time) or full-time. Contact Sandy Thomas (608) 266-0888 or
Jack Kent Cooke Foundation College Scholarship Program
The program is available to high-achieving high school seniors with financial need who will attend an accredited 4-year college or university. Up to 40 students will be selected from a nationwide pool of applicants. Each award in intended to cover a significant share of expenses up to $40,000 per year. Applicants must have a minimum of a 3.5 GPA, ACT composite of 26 or above or SAT combined reading and math score of 1200 or above. Deadline was November 30, 2016. Jacob Hetke Memorial
The Hetke family, from Cornell, will award a $1,000 scholarship to a student planning to attend a two or four year campus. Applicants should have a minimum G.P.A. of 2.5. Deadline was April 12, 2017. You may download an application here.
Janice M. Scott Memorial
Mrs. Scott was one of the 125 individuals who perished in the Pentagon on September 11, 2001. Her family will award three to five $2,500 scholarships to honor her legacy as an adovocate for youth in the Washington D.C. area. Applications must be received or postmarked on or before March 31, 2016. The application packet is to be mailed to: Janice M. Jump River Electric Cooperative
JREC will award $400 scholarships to graduates whose parents are members of the electric cooperative. Stanley-Boyd may submits two (2) applicants and an alternate to Jump River Electric Cooperative. Applications must be turned in to Mrs. Hove by April 7, 2017. You may download the application here. A $500 John Hirschfeld Jr. Memorial Lineworker Scholarship will be awarded to students pursuing an education in the Electric Power Distribution (Lineman) field. This is open to any traditional or non-traditional student who is a member of JREC and is presently receiving electric service from the Cooperative. Application deadline iis June 16, 2017. Kohl Excellence Scholarship
The Herb Kohl Educational Foundation will award $1,000 scholarships to100 graduating seniors. Students will be evaluated on their leadership, citizenship, school and community involvement and academic achievement. Must submit 3 letters of recommendation and an essay. Applications must be turned in to Mr. Kopplin by Friday, November 4, 2016. You may download an application at www.kohleducation.org/.
Kohl Initiative Scholarship (by nomination)
The $1,000 scholarships offered by the Herb Kohl Education Foundation are awarded to recipients who have been selected by their teachers and school administrators. Offered on a rotation basis. The intent is to recognize students who have displayed outstanding qualities, strong promise for succeeding, overcome significant personal obstacles and unlikely to be eligible for other academic scholarships.
Minnesota-Wisconsin Reciprocity Program
Provides tuition reciprocity for WI residents who enroll in an eligible MN public institution program on a space available basis. Students who qualify pay the established reciprocity fee for course work that is available at public institutions in WI. Professional students enrolling in a Doctor of Medicine, a Doctor of Dental Sciences, or a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine program are not eligible for tuition reciprocity under this program. Applications must be postmarked or electronically submitted no later than the last day of scheduled classes of the first term for which the student expects to receive benefits. Students may enroll part-time (including less than half-time) or full-time. Applications are available in the guidance office.
National FFA Organization
Numerous scholarships are available to FFA members in their senior year. The catalog and applications are available from Mr. Donnerbauer. On-line applications are available at www.ffa.org until 5:00pm EST on Feb. 1, 2017.
National Farmers Organization
High school seniors interested in attending an accredited college or university to pursue a career related to agriculture are eligible. Farm Kids for College Scholarship winners receive one of three $1,000 scholarships. The state winner will advance to the national competition to receive a Steve Pavich Memorial Scholarship: 1st place award of $750, 2nd place award of $250. Deadline was March 2, 2017. National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) Young Entrepreneur Award
Scholarships will be awarded to students enrolling in a nonprofit university, college or technical institute. Applicants MUST be running their own small business in order to be considered for an award. Applications are available at www.NFIB.com/YEA. Apply online between October 1, 2016 and December 18, 2016.
National Multiple Sclerosis Society
The society provides scholarships to students with MS or who have a parent or guardian with MS. Awards will range from $1,000-$3,000 although a limited number of awards may exceed this amount. The application is available at www.nationalmssociety.org/Scholarship. Deadline was January 18, 2017.
National Wild Turkey Federation
Each local scholarship winner will receive a min. of $250. State winners-$1,000 and National winners-$10,000. Students must support the preservation of the hunting tradition,actively participate in hunting and hold a current NWTF membership. Students must have a 3.0 GPA, be involved in school activities, demonstrate ability as a leader among peers and demonstrate community involvement. Deadline was Jan. 1, 2017. Olav Anderson(awarded by Stanley-Boyd High School)
This scholarship is awarded to the top male and top female student of their graduating class, who exhibit overall good character, an interest in school activities and who will be attending the University of Wisconsin-Madison. In the event that the top male and/or female student receive better or comparable scholarships at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and/or plan to attend another institution, available awards will be offered to the second, and then the third highest ranked males and females. This scholarship shall not be made to a student who has received the equivalent of a full tuition scholarship at the University of Wisconsin-Madison from other scholarships. The amount awarded to any student receiving this scholarship will supplement the cost of tuition after other scholarships for the expressed purpose of covering the cost of tuition at the University of Wisconsin-Madison are accepted by the student. This scholarship will be awarded by July 1 by the high school administration based on class rank at the end of the senior year.

Professional Insurance Agents of Wisconsin
The Young Professionals Club of PIAW will award five $2,500 scholarships to WI high school students. The scholarships are intended for students who are entering college and will have a focus on insurance or related field of study. Applicants must be sponsored by a PIAW member. The Hawkins/Swoboda Scholarship Fund offers four (4) $500 scholarships to any River Country Co-op member and their children. SAE International (Society of Automotive Engineers International)
Through contributions from individuals, corporations and universities, SAE Internation will offer scholarships to both graduate and undergraduate engineering students. There are a number of freshman scholarships available which value from $1,000 and higher. Students may apply who are pursuing an engineering career. Students must attend an ABET Accredited Program. SFM Foundation Scholarship
SFM Foundation is a non-profit organization created to administer a scholarship program to benefit children of workers injured or killed in work-related accidents. Applicants must be pursuing a primary college or university degree or vocational education from any accredited school in MN or WI. Qualifying student will be eligible to receive up to $5,000 per year and can receive scholarships annually through graduation from a two-or four-year technical school, college or university. Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME)
The Foundation awards scholarships to graduating high school seniors, current undergraduates and masters or doctoral degree students pursuing degrees in manufacturing and related fields at two and four-year colleges. There are 3 scholarships students from WI can apply for: Leanna Dorworth Scholarship, North Central Region 9 Scholarship & Richard Sarns Endowed Scholarship. Stanley Area Sportsman's Foundation Scholarship
The SASF will award a two (2) $500 scholarships (one male and one female) enrolled full-time at an accredited university, college or technical college pursuing any career or major. Stanley-Boyd Area Education Foundation, Inc.
The Foundation offers several scholarships to graduates from the Stanley-Boyd School District. A Universal application form is used to determine the applicant's eligibility for the following; Donald Samplawski Memorial, Science and Technology, Philip McCaffery Memorial, and Richard Royce Memorial Scholarship & Tom Boie Memorial.
Additional scholarships are available which require their own application forms; Alyssa Gerrits Memorial-not in 2017 (child care, early childhood or nursing), Bill Thorpe Memorial (play a collegiate sport), Boyd Area Chamber of Commerce (starting post secondary education for the first time-up to age 25), Jared Johnson Memorial, Kristopher Brown Memorial (overcame personal obstacles) and Martino's Memorial Scholarship. Stanley-Boyd Athletic Association
A $500 scholarship will be awarded to one male and one female athlete. To qualify you must be a senior athlete, participated in at least two (2) sports each year of high school, earned four (4) varsity letters and have a 2.5 GPA by the end of the seventh semester. Seniors who participated in 4 years of high school sports are eligible to apply for a $500 scholarship. The Athletic Booster Club will award scholarships to one male and one female athlete. The Math Team will award a scholarship to qualified graduating team members. The number of scholarships and the amount of each award will be determined by the committee. Each scholarship will be a minimum of $150. Applicants must have earned 7 credits in Math and/or Science, active participation in Math Team and a minimum 3.5 GPA. The Student Council will award two $150 scholarships. Graduating SBHS seniors who have been involved in extra curricular activities and/or community service and have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher may apply. Stanley-Boyd Wrestling Athletic Scholarship

State Farm will award up to 50 $2,500 State Farm Good Neighbor Scholarships. Awards may be renewed up to one additonal year based on maintaining satisfactory academic performance and full-time enrollment. State Farm does not require a high GPA, but rather focuses on students who are leaders and volunteers in their communities and demonstrate financial need. The first 700 applications will be accepted. Sterling Law Offices, S.C. is offering high school students the opporturnity to win a $1,000 scholarship. Talent Incentive Program Grant-(TIP Grant)
The grant provides assistance to the most financially needy and educationally disadvantaged WI resident students attending colleges and universities in the State of WI. First-time freshmen students are nominated for the TIP Grant by the school financial aid offices or by counselors of the WI Educational Opportunities Program (WEOP). To continue to receive the TIP Grant, students must be enrolled consecutive terms and continue to show financial need. Eligibility cannot exceed ten semesters. The student must enroll at least half-time, and continuous enrollment from term to term. Minimum award is $600 to a maximum $1,800 initial, and $250 to $1,800 continuing. See Mr. Kopplin for specific eligibility criteria and application forms.
Tobola Educational Fund
The Tobola Educational Fund Scholarship is open to students graduating from Stanley-Boyd High School (while having attended for a minimum of two years). Preference will be given to students seeking occupations in the private sector, as opposed to tax-supported services. Preference will also be given to those attending a technical school, then a private college. Last preference goes to those desiring to attend any institution approved by the Selection Committee. The criteria include; 2.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale) through 2nd trimester of the senior year, completing the application process, and provide proof of acceptance from the institution of higher education. Students may apply and receive funds for up to four (4) years. The amount and number of scholarships will be determined by the Selection Committee. Tri-County Retired Educators Scholarship
A $300 scholarship will be awarded to a graduate from Gilman, Greenwood, Loyal, Owen-Withee, Stanley-Boyd or Thorp who is intending to pursue a degree in education or day care. Application deadline was March 31, 2017. You may download an application here.

Will award up to two (24) $500 scholarships in the WI and MN marketplaces. Requires a minimum 3.0 GPA. Recipients are chosen based on academic Parents must be achievement, leadership qualities, community and extra-curricular involvement. Applicants must live in the service areas. Veterans of Foreign Wars
Offers Voice of Democracy (grades 9-12, local post does not require a verbal presentation), Patriots' Pen Youth Essay (grades 6-8) and the VFW Scout of the Year Scholarship (recipients of Eagle Scout, Gold Award, Venture Silver and Sea Scout Quartermaster awards). The US Department of Veteran Affairs has authorized CASC's Veterans Coordinator to assist veteran students and veteran dependents in filing for VA educational benefits. Wisconsin Electronic Security Associaton
WIESA program awards $1,500 scholarships to qualified high school seniors whose parent or guardian is a member of a WI police or sheriff's departmen,t and a fire department including volunteer fire departments. Wisconsin FFA Foundation
Various scholarships are available with awards ranging from $450 to $2,000. Applicants must be WFFA members. Wisconsin Mathematics Education Foundation
The Texas Instruments Arne Engebretsen Award is presented to a WI high school graduate pursuing a career as a K-12 educator with a strong interest in mathematics. The foundation will award one $2,000 scholarship. Apply online at www.wismath.org. Deadline was March 1, 2017.

The scholarship committee reserves the right to determine the number and amount of scholarships awarded. Wisconsin Restaurant Association

Wisconsin School Counselor Association (WSCA)
Four $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to WI high school graduates attending a post-secondary education program during the 2016-2017 school year. Family members of WSCA are ineligible. Students are asked to write a one page essay describing how a school counselor or school counseling program has helped them plan, decide, resolve, or grow in some area(s) of their lives. Wisconsin Society of Professional Engineers
The Engineers Foundation of Wisconsin, a non-profit foundation sponsored by the members of the WI Society of Professional Engineers awards scholarships to students having qualifications for success in engineering education. $2,000 scholarships will be awarded this year by the state organization. Other scholarships may be offered by local chapters. Validation of freshman enrollment in an eligible engineering program will be required to obtain the award. Deadline was December 19, 2016. Wisconsin State Fair Governor's Blue Ribbon Livestock Auction
